Were did you work:Phase Dock
Comments:Since leaving the Air Force in 1984, I've worked for MDC, now Boeing.  Ironically, 23 years later I've returned to Holland as a Boeing Field Rep supporting KLM and RNAF.  I would be interested in anyone that knows any whereabouts of the small group of dedicated Phase Dock folks during the 1981-83 timeframe;  Lloyd Keating, Curtis Spence, Curtis Venable, Ronny Butler (Bulldog), Thomas Laughlin, and of course Mike Berger and family. There are a few more; however I don't remember all of them... so long ago and been through too many experiences since then.   Coming back, is special to me.

Comments:Thanx for the opportunity to find old friends. I'm still working in the field the USAF trained me in and am still married to the best wife a man could ask for, courtesy of my stay at CNA and the great nation of The Netherlands, couple of the best years of my life, which has seen a lot of good years so far. Looking to find Doug McLean from Pensacola in particular and Chuck Chisolm from Washington state and a whole slew of partying buddies from the "Hotel California" barracks. The e-mail address is my work one which I check everyday. Rich Hagen,Gary Lynn,Terry Leudtke and other fellow NDI "Crackfinders", drop me an e-mail. DAG! TOT ZIENS!

Were did you work:My father worked at the store (not the PX) - his name is Wolter Kooi
Comments:I did not personally work at Camp New Amsterdam but my father was the store manager (the store near the Cinema, not the PX). I often visited there and also worked there as a 'bell boy'.  I used to go to the cinema and when I grew older, I used to babysit for American families who lived in Soesterberg. The American community was part of growing up for me - and I still miss them!

Name:Sandra Congleton
Years at Soesterberg AB:1973-1978
Were did you work:Hubby Roger V. was an F-4 backseater in A-Flight, ended up as Ops Officer. He was known as "Gramps" and alas, I picked up the other part of the title, which was "his ole lady"!
Comments:What can I say? Best time of our lives! We had three sons, 12, 10 and three. We lived in Soest and I used to love riding my bike along the railway path to the base where I would try to sweet-talk the guard into letting me sneak in and pick up our vehicle. When we came home, our youngest son, Travis, then 8, was amazed that all doorknobs in the U.S. were round and that there was really, only one way most Americans flushed their toilets! Travis now makes "pannekoeken" for his own 8-year old, and he even takes delight in flipping them up like the "real thing". We've been in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida since we left CNA and appreciate the mild winters. We also wish all hurricanes to "go someplace else", but have had pretty risky luck in that area last year. Our oldest son, Brad, is now a CPA 35 miles away, and our beautiful middle son, Michael, died in an auto accident in Tallahassee, Florida in 1985, when he was 21. We miss Holland, all Dutch cities, fresh cheese! and the Dutch in general. Great, just great memories, great friends!

Comments:I guess as we get older, considering I came to Soesterberg at the age of 19, we look at life a bit differently. Being young all I could think about was getting back to the US. Fortunatley I had the opportunity to see ALOT of Holland via my girlfriend at the time. I think this base had the most affect on my life over the years. I made the best of friends at Soesterberg. Wondering if anyone remembers me?
